So, I caught a small wing of these guys along the Columbia River, near Chinook WA over the 4th of July week. There are small differences in plummage, bills and leg coloring that are confusing me; I'm not 100% certain a) What they are and b) If they're all, even,, the same species.

My initial guess is Western Sandpipers...but, I'm fairly lost.

I would say a Least Sandpiper, based on color of legs and shape of bill. Next time just ask them what species they are to be sure, they should know.

The yellow legs and thin, slightly downcurved bill are the keys. Least Sandpiper for sure. Nice, clear shots.

Great; thank you for the field marks! Most of our 'regular' birds I can manage fairly well with, but the sandpipers/plovers give me fits.
