went to shoot persieds, didn't see much but then flashing started off over the hill, so I went and shot that instead.

We were told by our local news that persieds would happen about 60-70 times per hour. That turns out to be one per minute which I don't call a shower. And are you looking in the correct direction????

But you got some gorgeous lightning strikes! Far better in my book!!!!!!!!

yes, I;ve shot them before.. same spot, no moon, away from town lights... I saw two, one was cool as it split in two and continued...but out of frame of course
