Heading to Austin TX on Thursday for a gaming convention, I think I'll bring nifty along with me :D

We enjoyed the tour!

In Austin head over to the Congress Street bridge at sunset and you can watch millions of bats take flight out over the river. It's quite the sight!

One of the newer rides in the park, Impulse. Quite a fast ride.

Very cool - my kids would love it!

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

Hey everyone, sorry for the lack of pictures lately. We've had nothing but rain all last week. We ended up getting 6-7 inches of rain in 6 days! Totally miserable weather.

Anyway, my family and I went to Knoebels amusement park (external link) over the weekend, and I took nifty along!

Here's one of my favorite roller coasters ever, The Phoenix.

The Grand Carousel (external link) is a centerpiece of the park. It's over 100 years old, and all of the horses are hand carved.

Great series. I love the wood coasters and especially the old carousel. They are really special to ride.

Hey everyone! I didn't get to use Nifty at all on my trip to Austin, and I'm ready to move it on to nrowensby. Already got his info and it'll be on its way tomorrow. Really enjoyed my time with Nifty again!

Nifty was waiting for me when I got home from the beach. Currently working 6 day weeks, but hope to get out with it some this weekend!

I had the same situation when I had nifty. Hopefully you'll have better weather than I had on my free time. I couldn't get out with it at all.

Whoever has the lens and can't shoot, send it over to me, please. I have time right now.
I will try to dig out some not posted old shots if I can find them. I'll need to go through my collection, though.

This past February I took this shot of the new Transit Center still under construction, and I promised to take some more Nifty shots when it was completed:

Hopefully we'll have a sunny day. I was there yesterday and the rooftop park is amazing.

No, although you can see some of the trees at the edge of the rooftop park, the second shot was taken while it was still under construction in February.

I have a small gallery of Transit Center snapshots HERE (external link).

The San Francisco PR folks are calling it "The Grand Central Station of the West."

Today I dragged retired Nifty out to the Jenner Headlands on the California coast just north of where the Russian River flows into the Pacific Ocean. This was the second day the area was open to the public. It was a brisk windy day, but no fog!

The sky was hazy out over the water and it didn't help that I was shooting into the sun.

Looking eastward, the clouds and sky were amazing.

The Headlands Trails go from the ocean to a 2,200 foot peak in a 15 mile loop.
