This little fledgling just came by.. I'm sure the nuthatch will be around a little later.

Never met this dude before now... Its super hot out right now.

very nice Jeff, the only thing that would dream of getting almost that close here would be a robin, and then only if your working at something and not paying attention to the bird itself.
S'not fair!

Great video Jeff. My wife grabbed my iPad and ran next door to show the neighbors. :-). I’ll echo Mike’s question, what did you shoot this video with?

Just saw your previous post. iPhone 8

Maybe Ill try the 7DII but it will be a bigger pain to do. I actually videoed it, uploaded and posted all from my phone. I did it in 4k but youtube only shows it in 720p at most so ill look into that as well.

That's really incredible Jeff!! I had a parakeet that would do that, and he'd even talk. :p

Whaaaaattt.... ok, I need a pet Nuthatch! They're my favorite of the winter birds we keep around here.

Makes me feel better knowing that the struggle to get a decent bird photo is probably the norm, rather than the exception :-)

Now do a Red-bellied Woodpecker!!!
