Funny you should mention about the 7DII images being like two slightly displaced images - I have had that feeling for sometime but never mentioned it. I usually put it down to the effect of the anti-aliasing filter everyone complains about. Yours is the first reference I have seen about it. I have also sometimes put it down to my Dell 4K laptop screen (Not my best purchase). A bit of sharpening and contrast seems to give me a better illusion when I see this problem. Oh hell, Jeff - you have just put more doubt in my impressionable mind.

Ray ... life is to short to be shooting and testing and playing with a peace of tech from a group that is in business to make money. If it ain't perfect get you another one.. I'm going to.

Dang, glad I found this thread! I had been thinking of upgrading to the new ISii and giving my old one (15 years old?) to my son.

Now I think it will be my retirement gift to myself

I have a 18-400 as a walkabout lens as at my age and health carrying a heavy lens bothers me if I try to lug it too long.

I use the 100-400 set up in my window on a tripod to shoot my bird feeders and also on a tripod in the yard but when I retire in October I will be heading to Beavertail State Park to shoot birds and waves...

A Giant Swallowtail on Garden Phlox. This butterfly flutters it's wings constantly as it sips nectar, so getting a sharp imagine had it's challenges.
