"and video is starting to interest me a lot"

That's why I'm seriously considering switching to Nikon. The D500 has 4k video capabilities and doesn't cost $4-5k like the 1DX Mark II. Why doesn't Canon offer 4k video on any of it's lower tier DSLR bodies, I'll never understand it. The D500 paired with the 200-500mm f/5.6 would be a serious wildlife combo.

And I'd like a crack at some of the stuff you shoot. The fox, the marten, the moose, the birds that come to you hand, etc., etc., etc. :-D :-D

Shooting the 100-400L is always going to be there for us...until the 200-500L comes out.. or what ever is next.

Jeff...Have you given any serious thought to the Tamron or Sigma 150-600? I've sure seen some really nice results here on the forums, and the price is very appealing.

Well ... I can honestly say I have not. The 100-400L can be more than I need at times shooting the 7DII.

Depending on where we all land in the future. It may be a consideration.

Camera is where its at for me right now. got to get that one figured out. At this very moment theres a bunch of us needing a place to land.. but their drawing their feet on us.

Same old story I guess.. the past repeats its self
