Nice, sharp head-on shot. This kid doesn't look in great shape though. Is that the beginnings of papillomavirus on its left foot?

thanks Jack. This is about the best view of his foot I've got, can't say I know anything about it to make any sort of judgement myself.

The king vulture is certainly an odd looking but beautifully colored bird. Our turkey vulture by comparison is quite bland looking. All are very nice shots.

Upon closer inspection, it turns out this is a young boy just starting to get his green feathers on his head and the chestnut colouring on his breast.... as he turns into an Adult male like this ....

Thanks, Sid. I'm no expert either, but it does look to me as though the disease is just starting. The feet shouldn't be white like that. :-(

Theres no doubt its a great lens with and without the 1.4III. It has done it all for me. From chickadee's to lynx.. and back again.

I need something to move forward with. You can see my 7DII is beyond help now. I want something more than the 7DII now.

Shooting the 100-400L is always going to be there for us...until the 200-500L comes out.. or what ever is next.

Might go for a 200-600 f5.6 if it comes out (and I can talk the better half into it).
