It'll be fun seeing what the next generation of enhancements will bring to the world of bird photography. Mirrorless is cool and all, I definitely love shooting with this Fuji x100F, but going back to my Canon clunkers just feels right. Canon has to nail the ergonomics so that we all transition seamlessly, or else we won't like using whatever it is they bring out.

Man, I wish I had the 1DX II, but the 5D4 is working for me, so that's where I'll stay for now. I'd definitely let you borrow the 600 if we were near one another, you'd probably be teaching me a thing or two when it was all said and done!

If it means anything, whatever I can make with my 5D4/80D + 600 is a definite level below the work you consistently turn in here, so it ain't the gear, sir :-)

Well thanks Matt.. I'm at a point I need something to drag me to the next level.. something to feel super confident in.. I know a few guys here that have made that jump to their dream camera, and their feeling confident and happy excited even about their shooting. It's just so darn hard to figure out which way to go. I come from video back in the good old days and want that to be part of what I do again.

Ok, so let’s take this brilliant shot: how would you improve on it? I’d kill to turn in this level of quality, and I’m not sure what more could be done on either the gear side or composition that would be considered “next level” :)

Lol well... Micro adjustment in manual is how I try and pull more from any camera.. but the camera must be up to the task.

My 7DII was.. But not anymore.
