Vinz looks like you have mastered RE photography as well a portraiture.

Thank you. Trying my best. Cc from here and from FB RE groups helped me a lot.

The background is absolutely killed!

While nothing tops the 85 1.2 II L the 85GM is the next best thing for background killing. It's bokeh rendering is really smooth and beautiful.

wow they have a G2 new version!!!

When I owned the Canon mount 15-30 UWA I loved the image quality!!!

I used it with my 5dm3 at the time and the IQ surpassed my 16-35 f/2.8mk2 (no surprise as that lens is older tech). When I bought my 5dm4 with canon 16-35 f/2.8mk2 combo I honestly found the IQ to have almost bumped up to Tammy 15-30 quality I got with my 5dmk3 combo.

Only issue I have with the Tammy is that it is not a light zoom. Very noticeable how heavy it was when I used it 3 days shooting a big car event.

Panasonic?.. well now that is a shocker.

They still stick to contrast detect,
Point to point af is great actually but continous is not so great.
Wonder if theyll finally add pdaf .

I absolutly love the ergos of my gh5 , button layout is great even the joystick has a nice feel to it and the rear screen in my opinion is the best ive used , .. But.. that little sensor is the size of a baby duck (perfect camera song reference ),
In good light its great but , well im sure i dont have to explain it to you guys

Wow,, theres just too much happening in the camera world for my wallet to keep up:lol:

Honestly i have more interest in this than i do in nikon or canon mirrorless

Love the initial Canon lens line up for sure. I'd prefer an 85mm to a 50mm but a fast 35mm plus the choice of two different zoom options.

that is one tiny lens, and even though I love wide angles, I think the range is a bit too much. If there's anything that's too wide, this is probably it :-P

on the flip side, I'm patiently waiting for the voigtlander 21mm f3.5. Seriously small, however, I have no idea what the heck is a "color skopar".

CV 21mm + FE 35mm = seriously small travel kit that I think I can deal with in lieu of zooms. It would weigh nothing and take very little space. Toss in either the FE 50 or 85 for bokeh, and you've got great travel kit that's decently covered. I sort of write off any MF lenses for use on a gimbal, but due to the massive DOF, I think I would be ok with a 21mm lens. Set it @ 4-5 feet and forget about it. I think I would prefer the spacing of 18-20mm, but unfortunately, nothing TINY in that range. Voigtlander 21 is legit tiny. Samyang 24 another nice contender, but I'de choose wider if I'm to narrow my choices.

Going to Colorado (Denver, then Beaver Creek) next month and I'm going to have some time to kick around and shoot cityscape/landscape/wildlife. While there is obvious beauty all over that area, is there anything that's a can't miss shoot?

Also, the Zony 50 1.4 SSM (a-mount) arrived today and it appears to be as-advertised. Some purple fringing, but sharp with bokeh we expect out of Zeiss glass. Physically, it is like someone put the 50A on a diet, pawned the lens hood and replaced it with something from the bottom of a cereal box. Overall it looks to be a proper successor on my EF 50 1.8ii-->50A--->55 1.8 path.

I do wonder how it would fare on an gen2 or gen3 A7 body and I intend to find out at some point.

The Canon rumors don't add up IMO.

Supposedly it has a mount that is interchangable with the EF lenses and RF lenses...which means the flange distance is the same. Which also means that a 28-70F2 would be massive on such a mount.

The canon rumors admin didn't bother ranking these rumors, so there's a big question ab

yeah it was the 28-70 f/2 that got my attention but I hadn’t realised it was supposed to be interchangeable with EF mount. I’m happy with Sony though but interested in the new tech
