I wish I'd seen it take off! We waited about 20-25minutes, but it never took flight. It was really stocking up at that amazingly otherwise unoccupied watering hole is a very dry hot climate. If it was just me, I would have waited for hours,.

No sir, the most skitty of anything around.
Hey, up at the cabin to day and found bear damage....they're not skittish
Wasn't that long ago they destroyed 5 hives. This time looks like a varmit run up and into a drain tile...bite marks all along 40 feet
of time, tile crushed in places, then ripped apart.

If a man really wanted bear pics (NOT ME) that one could easily be baited in.
I think this man will stick with chicken and hawks.

Interesting, in the UK the bird we call the Lapwing is also know as the Green Plover.

Beautiful bird. Smart hairdo.
Looks like his wings have a sheen to them.
