Absolutely marvelous shot, Robert!!

Thank you sir. Chickadees were the only thing about yesterday....well there were 4 or 5 Cardinals but
my sensor is full of Cardinals. If I could only ship one in trade to Pondrader for a Grey J.......

Great shot Sibil. Sharp as a tack, and the background is nice.

Thanks Mike. I appreciate it.

Great shot Mike. I've seen them do that fairly often. Rarely can I get close enough for a shot though. I really think they are a cool bird.

Thanks Jeff & Mike! It was interesting to see how well its markings matched the surroundings and when he would put his head straight up he almost looked like a really thick reed. Well, at least he thought so.

Nothing wrong with snakes. I myself have partaken in a bite or two of rattlesnake meat...not bad. You know, they taste like chicken.;-)a

A carnivore eating another carnivore! That goes against the tacit agreement among carnivores not to eat each other.

Yesterday I posted a different shot of this bird, and believe it's a migrant Willow Flycatcher. Could be wrong, might also be an Alder Flycatcher too, ID is very difficult.

I have stood 10 feet from them try’s not to find them before they take to the wing. Super good at blending in. I’ve never seen one where the background and the bird have such separation. I think you did great.
