The blue/purple in the foam makes this very electric.

A dozen headshots, each in under 7 minutes including picking their favorite image. I don't usually do portraits so quickly, but I was pleased with the process and the results.

Forgot to mention, I was trying to see if the Godox AF beam would help speed up the AF on the Fuji cameras in the horrible light you get at night in wedding venues and I'm glad to report that it did make the AF much quicker, only thing is you really need to be focusing with the centre points as the beam the flash emits is quite narrow. I'd love to have a setting where the AF assist is always firing too, like a forced setting, perhaps in a future update as the camera can tell the flash to emit the assist. Production meeting with the video crew today so no editing done but lots of coffee drunk & that's just as well as I have to do some of the editing tonight now...

as in the R2 triggers by Godox/Flashpoint?

I don't know if I've ever turned that feature on... or know how to. :D

by the way.. are you doing X-pro2/XT-2 for your weddings? muscle memory getting in the way at all as far as button placement between the two?

When I got the XH-1, I kept hitting the wrong buttons as I had gotten used to the X-Pro2 layout.

Yes using X-PRO and X-T. I’d been borrowing an X-T2 if and when I needed it but Fuji’s price of late on the X-T2 made we go order one as I had a bit of a busy month. I’ll probably just sell it next month at a loss to but hey…

Yep the triggers and the flash can output an AF beam. You need to set AF on the flash/trigger to ON and set the cameras AF assist lamp to ON also. Finally in the camera flash settings screen set the AF there also. Only fires if it’s dark and I’ll really like to see it fire in a little brighter light but it works.

My fingers seam fine between the differing buttons on the cameras, the Q menu and rear pad buttons are set the same, just a couple of function buttons to remember. But I much prefer the X-PRO2 layout, just a few changes would make it perfect.

Nice!!

Thanks guys! I'm loving it :) My first 2 seater and first convertible too... I'm not sure why I waited so long, but from the day they announced this generation I knew I would own one eventually :)

I want to scout a good location to go do a real shoot with it. I saw this spot on my way home from filling the tank this evening (spent the whole day driving it).

I've always liked them, but this one I think nailed it on the appearance (even though I wasn't completely sold when I first saw it) and with them going back to their roots and making it about as light as the original Miata and not focusing on just pushing more power through it, they really did it right. It's an absolute joy to drive.

My friend has a Subaru BRZ, I was actually just at his house yesterday and we were laughing about how much smaller the Miata looked parked next to his already small car

The BRZ/FRS/86 is a pretty solid platform. The lack of a sunroof or convertible top option never even made them a consideration for me though.
