A bug I've never seen in my yard before. A Locust Borer on a goldenrod plant. They blend in so well :-)
Funky exif I know. I was setup for hummers and took this while waiting.
Canon 7D II and a Canon 100mm 2.8 USM.

When I go out shooting bugs or birds, I'm pretty sure more of them see me than the other way around. We need to be so alert and learn to search everywhere with our eyes.

Nice shot. Looks like your 7D II handled the ISO fairly well. Definitely much better than my original 7D would have.
