That's pretty awesome. Big fish. Is it impaled on its beak?

Thanks Richard.
The Anhinga spears fish, flips them ino the air, and swallows them head-first.
This Anhinga speared the fish so hard, it had to return to the small Island and bang the fish against a tree branch to get it off its bill.
Happy trails,
Paul

Nice capture for both you and the bird. One of the reasons I quit fishing, the birds were catching more and bigger fish than I was. :p

Thanks Doc.
Nature's truly amazing.
That Snake Bird managed to swallow that whopper:lol:
Happy trails,
Paul

Paul, that's a beauty. This guy knows how to fish. If he and I had a contest, I'm sure he'd kick my butt.

Thanks Mike.

Ruddy Turnstone -- I guess a fairly common bird for many of you but in my neck of the woods they're rare.
