I love these.
Beautifully captured.
There's something about the cheeky character of the smaller birds I find rather endearing.
(perhaps I'm partial to those smaller birds as they're mostly the ones we have just around home)?.

Made this shot back in 2014 on a cold rainy nasty December day. The Egret was being badgered by a cormorant and a pelican. He walked behind some reeds and was out of sight for a few seconds. When he re-emerged the fish was gone. Don't know if he swallowed it or if the pelican or cormorant got it or if he just gave up on trying to choke it down.
