Nice shot Alfredo. How come security guards can move you along if you are on a public road?

digital_AM wrote in post #18704070 (external link)
Thanks Eddie. Yeah I'm not sure. I was shooting from the sidewalk when the guard approached in a vehicle. He said this section was private property. I had to move further up the street near the 17th Street bridge. He said I could shoot from there.

i would have told him where to go. The difference is though our security guards don’t carry guns :)

All of Atlantic Statio proper is private property...every last bit of it...and its lame...and why I won't patronize any of their establishments. They dont tell all of the people with cell phones to out them away...and those take a lot of photos.

It stems from them being afraid someone will steal their idea and concept for what the place is...which is naive at best...they were not the first and won't be the last to do what they did.

Sunset reflection at midtown Atlanta near Atlantic Station. A security guard told me to leave before I could get some additional long exposure shots for car light trails.

Lovin' the sunset reflected in the windows. I think this image would qualify for this weeks theme of "Low Angle" as well.

In Britain/Scotland can't you camp one someone's property, some kind of common land law amongst the citizenry? Some law that goes
way way back?
Private property laws here seem to be very different than across the pond.
I know I've gotten in serious trouble with private property owner trying to get a Snow Goose.....the 'Carhart Brothers' arrived with shotgun
dangling from the arm. His 'no trespass' sign was covered in weed growth. Was not a pretty scene and Poof hid!

In Scotland whilst there is a trespass law you can still trespass on most land and waterways as long as you respect privacy. You can’t stay/camp on the land you are trespassing on though. There are exceptions to the rule (land with crops, schools etc). You also can’t force entry as that then becomes breaking and entering. I think that’s the gist of the rules here

I'm pretty certain trespass falls under a civil offence rather than a criminal offence - unless it's government/military/etc

Image from a day out in Bath today :) Quite like this one. Trying to get more photos of us on our trips out rather than just the places we visit!!

Nice shot Lee. I was in Bath last Spring, it's such a beautiful town.

Thanks Gene. This was taken 2 weeks back so it doesn’t qualify.

Thank you. Yes. Very nice place but it took me a while to warm up & get into the swing of things this morning. Maybe because I'm more used to nature/coast than I am inner cities!!

Will certainly be going back though before the end of the year. I'm embarrassed to say that's my first visit with camera!! It's only 30 minutes away too!!

APS-C Sensor in an A9 body is what you want eh?

I think there would be a place for it for some people. I like crop bodies for wildlife shooting, but don’t care for a6*** series ergonomics.

It will be interesting if we see a Metabones RF to E mount adapter. Considering how good that 50mm f/1.2 looks I wouldn't mind seeing one made!

I agree with this completely...and wanted something like that but it never happened...I rented an a6500 and hated the ergonomics of it...

Agreed. a6300/a6500 ergos not for me anymore.
Spoiled by Riii and a9.
I just witnessed today what a good crop sensor can pull off where my a9 would have languished.
The Riii has a lot of cropability but not the pixel density I often need.
I'm good though. Plan B is already here (D500) and working.
Sony might surprise with a killer APS-C body, then again their momentum has been FF for a long time.
I decided to have a back up plan.
