This was taken near the Pinnacles desert in Western Australia. It's a multi row panorama taken with an EOS 6D and Sigma's 18-35mm f/1.8 Art crop lens at 35mm.

Awesome photo. Really nice indeed.

Wow. Awesome shots in this thread.
A couple of weeks ago I had a chance to photograph the Milky Way for the first time ever. I really had no idea what I was doing. I was at around 4200 feet.

A couple of shots with 5d4, 15mm fisheye, f2.8 iso 1600 20 or 25 seconds.

Well done! I'm planning a trip to Custer next year; how was the hike to your shooting location? I'll have the family with me, but am hoping to sneak away for a some astro sessions.

Rocking the R6 and (mostly) the 24-105 f4 L, 50mm f1.8 STM, and EF 135mm f2 L along with a few others.

It wasn't too crazy. You'll want both hands free on the hike back down, so make sure you have a head lamp. You'll have to scramble up a few rocks on the way up, so just take it slow in the dark on the way back down.

Depending on how long you'll be in the area, there's plenty of other good spots that are more accessible for astro. Sylvan Lake and Center Lake are two personal favorites!

"Milky Wye"

This glued laminated timber bridge called the Keystone Wye is located outside of Keystone, SD in the Black Hills. If you ever visit Mt. Rushmore, you'll likely cross it.

About an hour and 20 mins north of Auckland is an amazing little town called Mangawhai. I have a place up there and went out for a shoot last night aiming to get a couple of panoramic milky way shots.
I got 3 that I was very happy with. Beautiful night, very clear and not too cold and back home by 9.30. awesome :)

Kohekoke Church on the Awhitu Peninsula. About and hour and half drive south west of Auckland's CBD. Bit of a drive all around to the southern side of the Manukau Harbour, but worth the trip for this well photographed church.
We had a bit of cloud last night, but the trip was still great fun and worth the effort
