I am wondering what is the major differences between the version II vs III?

I am looking for one to use on my TS-E 17mm f4 for tighter shots.

V2 has better center than V3 but the corners are softer... V3 has less center sharpness but higher corner sharpness = more even coverage of sharpness.

and it's the whiter white :)

The VII will also work on some 3rd party lenses that the VIII will not.

I know this to be true on the Sigma 150-600 Sport, because I had one.

... and let us not forget, version II is $150, and version III is more than twice that... :)

Also, you can stack the Version II's, BUT you cannot stack the Version III's.
I only own the 1.4 Version III, but I wish I could stack it with my 2.0 Version III.
Another thing is, I can't use the Canon 1.4 Version III or the 2.0 Version III with my Tamron 150-600mm, but you can use the Version II's on the Tamron...

Good luck with the sale, that is a good price and a good piece of 'stuff'. :)
