Well caught, nice light and good sharpness, but I'm putting money on that being a Royal Tern. Not a Least anyways.

My hummers are all gone for the year, but here's one of the last holdouts from a couple weeks ago.

Some juvenile something or another... I don't know my birds, but this little guy decided to land in our dead tree.

I really want to catch a hummingbird one day. I actually did catch 2 of them, but not with my camera but my butterfly net. :)

Ah thanks for the info! I figured it was pretty young with the extra little straggly feathers on the head much like other young birds. There were a couple larger ones in the area across the bank from our house, so I wrongly assumed this was one of theirs.

Another recent favorite of mine, taken while on vacation...

I think you were spot on, I agree that it's one of this year's young.

That's a lovely Plover, beautifully marked. Far different from ours.
Must have had my eyes closed, don't recall seeing them there. Obviously missed out!

These are absolutely beautiful.
Interesting difference in eyes

Thanks. This was in Hilton Resort in Princeville the funny thing was I walked all the way out about a mile then when I came back to the resort they were just below our balcony :)
