Beautiful shot - and great detail! Love the angle of flight and the terrific eye and beak detail.
I shot my first "Double Eagle" today. The RX10iv came through again catching the action in an instant. I only had about a second from when I noticed Eagle number two approaching to get the camera in position for the shot.

Dammm you guys and your blasted rx10iv. Y’all are going to force me to buy one yet... I’ve long been a believer in the 1” Sony sensor.

Seriously, everyone, Sony needs to pay you for promotional material. That's crackin’ photography from BIF to sidearm sliders.

It was pretty amazing to experience and to be able to relive it through photos - well all I can say is thanks RX10iv! I was on continuous mode for this so here's another frame from that series. And btw, I was pretty far away so some heavy cropping was done on this photo.

Thanks for second photos.
Did those thumpers actually land on that little branch, and hang on?
Looks like they're at least attempting to.
Agree with your camera. It does an impressive job indeed.

That is the very top branch of the tallest tree (dead wood) out in the middle of a lake/marsh area. It's up at least 80 feet or more. Bald Eagle #1 was perched up there for about 20 minutes when Eagle #2 came in (from I don't know where) and chased the other Eagle off. Yes, they actually perch on that.
