We had the good fortune of coming across a Cheetah, without a hundred other vehicles surrounding us. This beauty gave us quite the show!

Fantastic!
I've made i to the Continent twice, and never laid an eye on one of these magnificent beasts.

The first time we went, we struck out.

The second time we went, we saw one, way off from the road.

Third time lucky :)

I think you need to go again!

Truly top-tier captures here, Brian.

I've always adored the big cats, and these are a genuine treat to see.
Thank you for sharing with us.

Agree on its magnificent.
As a kid I'd gaze for ages at these wild cats, and Cheetahs, Leopards and Panthers were my favourites.
Must have been breathtaking experience.
Beautifully photographed. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks DS.
Now ain't he (?) lovely.
Actually, that's one of the endearing things about these magnificent creatures.
They're just BIG cats.
Being a cat person, most cats and I get on famously.
Not sure, unfortunately, this one would feel the same way. :-)

The cool thing about the area is you never know what you're going to see! This Cheetah was the highlight for me.

They are so slight in size.... I wonder how they manage to survive.

Cheetah has always been my favorite of the big cats. Maybe because they seem like such an underdog what with working so hard to catch a meal then everyone bigger taking it from them.

I particularly like the third and fourth images above. And the leopard. Nice shooting!

For me it's Leopards. The star of the Africa bush! :D

I've seen quite a few Cheetah and they're awesome too but not nearly as elusive as the leopard. So when you see a Leopard you feel it's a special day!

Funny about that... I've had incredible luck with leopards and had them walk right past my vehicle - more than once. Cheetahs have been my white whale until this time.
