Another colorful small bird. These I have seen before but this trip I got a better photo.

I just dipped my toe into birds and wild-life, I am mainly into landscapes. I don't even know the names of most birds. Please feel free to ID and critique. So many talented wildlife photographers here and mind-blowing shots.

Nice photo. You should do this more often!

Very cool Graham. The blue eye sure stands out, and the Raven is so nice and sharp.

Yes! J's rule!
Now 800mm because you can or because like me they won't give up any ground.
Plus they only give me not even a second to get the nab.

800mm because I have to. They do not come close at all and come in quick and leave. They actually are one of the harder birds to photograph. A blind may work well with them.

Thanks Mike, it is a really spectacular hummingbird to see. It is a treat for the eyes when their colors appear.

Beautiful birds.
The female has lovely markings.
I imagine they're not easy to extract from the vegetation, if they're like our yellow tailed variety.
Love that bottom one. Classic.
