Thank you for fulfilling my request, Mike! :-P:lol: Another excellent photo of crow! Looks like some piece of meat it's got?

Ha,ha...I had to at least give it a try. Thank you Shalu, for the much appreciated compliment. And yes, it is a piece of meat that a group of crows were squabbling over. This one emerged the victor. At least he got a good size portion of it.

Did you get the squabbling pictures? That would be fun to see too.

Uniquely different, and beautifully shot. That one is super nice, Shalu.

I didn't take any shots of that. They were on people's lawns, and on the street & sidewalks. I like to get shots in more of a nature type of environment.

That is a primo shot, Shalu. It's so nice and sharp, plus the background is great. What kind of fish is that? It's color is so dark with reddish fins.

Thank you very much, Mike! I have no idea what fish this is. Yesterday I was told a location for osprey 30 minutes away and I went this morning to get this shot. The pond is very shallow now and drying up pretty soon, so the osprey couldn't dive, just grabbed the fish from surface. Still missed the part when the osprey grabbed the fish, but I will get it another day.

Lee...I do have auto ISO in manual mode just like Nikon. It works great when the background doesn't change. With birds in flight that drop down from a sky background to one with trees for example, the auto ISO doesn't work well. The camera's metering system now sees a darker overall scene, so the auto ISO will increase, causing the subject to be badly overexposed. In this type of situation with birds in flight, I set the ISO between 400 and 800 (depending on the lighting and what my histogram tells me). So in manual mode, with the ISO set, the bird can go from sky to a dark background, and it will still be exposed correctly, as long as it is receiving the same amount of light as it was with the sky background. This is one of the things that Art Morris has emphasized, and I've found that he's pretty much right about that.

And yes Lee, us old timers do have to stick together.:!:

Yes I tried auto iso but found it a pita, I just shoot manual for birds. It is a nucance in changing light levels but you learn to just up a stop when the sun goes in etc.

SEO during spring migration this year. Shot this one hunting over a marsh right behind our house. Nice when they come to you for a change :-)

Truly wonderful. What an amazing site. Never see anything like that here, unfortunately.
Effortless in flight and yet so focussed.
