I had a Mk1 when I first started driving which got written off on a slippery bend and then a Mk2 Sport with a lightly tuned engine and up rated suspension (no where near to these levels obviously!). I used it as a daily driver and for auto testing, sprints and navigational rallies (even ran it on a drag strip) and then our wedding car in 1985. Such good fun to drive and learnt a lot in it.

It finally rusted away and became a kit car for a while.
