Fall hasn't kicked in here yet at all. I still went for my nightly dip in the pool though the water is getting a might cold. We have had a ton of rain lately so everything is summer green.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

We had a pretty wet summer. I'm wondering if that is going to carry into Winter with snow. Autumn arrived right on queue.

I also had some pictures of me taken. But I don’t have them.
The “photographer” was pretty cute!!
His photos ruled out a couple of concerns, but were unable to confirm the final concern.

You need a new title. "Bruises easily" or "Scratch and dent sale".

And as to not seem insensitive, I must ask. Is everything ok at home? Say cheese pizza if it isn't. I don't want anyone to accuse me of not seeing the obvious signs.

I went riding after work yesterday. Checked the weather report and it said light rain would start around 8 pm. I was on the trail before 6 pm, and it usually takes me about 90 minutes to ride the 20 kms, if I don't do some of the diamond loops.
Halfway through the ride it started to rain, really light at first so it wasn't getting through the tree cover. But it just kept building, and it got completely dark out. I did have my light with me.
The trail is a loop, so you just have to keep going. But I don't mind riding in the rain.

At kilometer 16.4 I was heading down the last big hill. I was running at 34.2 km/hr when my rear tire hit something, most likely a rock, and took a jump to the right. That sent the front tire to the left, rather violently. I took a Superman-esque launch to the left. Being as it was so wet, I slid a fair bit, rather than roll. Landed left side down, arm extended, fortunately my hand slid rather than digging in. Over extended my left shoulder, and my first thought was that it was dislocated. Attempting to sit up informed me that my ribs were in bad shape. I was able to get up and get going again. I had 3.2 kms left to get back to my truck. It took me 17 minutes to ride that, and it's the easiest part of the trail, finishing with a road ride.

I was definitely in bad shape, so I headed for a hospital that's on my way home. I took those pictures in emerge, before I changed my clothes. The KT Tape was already on, as I've been dealing with jumper's knee since the last few weeks of baseball. It saved me from a lot more scrapes. The doctor checked out my shoulder and it's moving freely, just quite sore. But he sent me for chest x-rays. They showed that I did not puncture a lung (I was pretty sure I hadn't as I could breathe fine), and that none of my ribs were displaced. But they were not able to confirm if I had broken any ribs or not. The symptoms say that I have probably cracked at least two.

It was 11:15 pm by the time I got home. Only thing I have for pain killers is extra strength Tylenol. Took a couple of them and went to bed. Definitely did not sleep much! Had to work today. Had a rough go at work, but made it through with lots of swear words. Went to a pharmacy and got my prescription for T3's filled. I should sleep better tonight!

I have bruises from my hips to my ankles, scrapes from my shorts to my ankles, very sore shoulder, sore hands, likely broken ribs, and am achy all over.

But, I did not hit my head! Not a mark on my helmet.

Handlebar on the bike is crooked, but I didn't really look at anything else. It rode alright and still shifted gears.

If someone didn't know the stories, they would think that Dad and I had been beating up on each other. He's halfway through healing a broken wrist from tripping over something. Then he went and tripped on his own feet and face planted in the driveway, so now he's sporting a cut forehead and black eye.
Now I'm bloody and bruised, with busted ribs.

Sounds like the clumsies are a family trait. Probably in your DNA.

It definitely is!

So far, I have not had any confirmed broken bones. But definitely have had suspected ones.

A dose of Tylenol 3 let me sleep right through the night, which was great! Except that I did not move all night and had a really hard time getting out of bed this morning.

Definitely feeling every point of impact, and everything else that was affected.
