Back when I was a teenager, I used to kill bugs (in a proper cyanide killing bottle) and then mount them into lifelike positions with insect pins and rubber cement. I had quite the collection of wasps, beetles, mantises, and so on, in bug boxes. If only I could re-learn that skill. That would set the stage for doing really good focus-stacked pics of bugs. Ok if you find them dead, but to kill for a picture? Even it' s just a bug I question the need.

How can I find out if this works with my lens? 2) Is this a reasonable item to buy for a person who rarely shoots macros? As a thank you I'm going to post my 100-400 macro-wanna-be shot.
