Thank you so much, I was out in the patio at "Silly O'clock" taking pics of the morning rush with LHR inbounds and overfilghts heading from the Atlantic over to Europe.

FrankC - 20D, RAW, Manual everything...

Dubi Senior Member ![]() More info | I’d use a monopod and shoot 1/30 with auto ISO using TV mode. I’m not a manual setting guru but find this works for me in low light shooting. Do you have a good low light lens?

I think in AV to get to iso100 I needed an exposure of about 5 secs. Kit list: Canon 5D mkIV & 6D mkII, EF 24-70L F4 IS, EF 70-200 F4 is, EF 50 f1.8 STM, Sigma 24-105 Art & Sigma 150-600 C

I think in AV to get to iso100 I needed an exposure of about 5 secs. The other thing I found was that the lights they used had a horrible lime green cast which made finding the white balance tricky. Hopefully they'll have an aircraft out with a bit of grey on for you to help with this. PM me if you want me to send you some shots to have a look at the exif. Yikes, 5 seconds is definitely tripod territory. I was thinking low light and this seems like night time shooting.

Jeff USN Photog 72-76 I can't believe I miss-typed ![]() More info | Oct 06, 2018 05:43 | #450 unless you take an .avi and do a frame capture the odds are that even with a Canon 1D you might have gotten even further off. yes I use burst mode but it is not a be all and do all the 70D gets, what, 6 or 7 frames a second, like my 80D or 6D, and you can be way off, very often getting the absolute perfect framing is a matter of luck. You did it the right way and came about as close as possible. "sometimes having is not so pleasing as wanting, it is not logical but it is true" Commander Spock
