Those are all such very nice shots, Richard.

Thanks Mike
Much appreciated comments.
Yellow is a bit predominant here at Spring time.

This hibiscus is native to a small area of rocky sandstone country near Tolmer Falls in Litchfield National Park. It was named Hibiscus petherickii in honour of my wife's grandfather, Edward Raymond Petherick, now an active 91 years old, an amateur botanist and long-time pioneer in the area.

Wonderful shot, and a beautiful flower, Pippan. That is an interesting history of this gorgeous flower. I congratulate your wife's grandfather, Edward Raymond Petherick.

Very nicely photographed Sibil. The red against the black is quite attractive looking.

Thank you Mike. He's also an avid photographer and has images of the area, and its people and rock art, dating back to the early 1950s. Soon to be publishing a book ...

Beautiful shot, Richard. Very nice detail. Your image shows the texture of the petals very nicely.
