Haha yep missed that corner! Should have gotten Poof to proof it.
I usually am looking for any kind of wildlife/bierds mostly because they are everywhere, so
that Tamron focal length isn't used much....but from the little use I've given it I like it
a lot. It's a lens light enough to have in a pocket when we're doing the long walks hunting
critters. One day in the Harris Neck NWR Poof walked me six miles and it wasn't easy. 1/2 of the
walk was through bush hog stubble field, the other 1/2 on a grossly overgrown trail through the
woods AND this place is supposedly frought with rattlesnakes.....and we did see one crossing the road
on the way in and I was too slow out the van to grab him.

I'm just hoping Tamron follows suit and puts out an FE 150-600mm.

That's what I love about this thread, there's always people helping to spend other people's money.... ;-)a:lol::-D:mrgreen:

I could afford the Batis40. I had the 85 for a year plus so I know they are top quality, great performers and sharp wide open. The 40mm was going to be no different. The size I could manage, the weight is perfect. And, in a way I do have a small kit so having two good but expensive lenses is sort of okay I guess..... I don't own a wide angle, I don't own a telephoto, I don't own a long prime....

Hmmmmmmmmm......

Hey 'there's always people helping to spend other people's money.' that's socialism isn't it :)

Lee, you might wanna watch this mate. I wasnt very excited when the news about the Zeiss 40/2 came out. Big,chunky and expensive. I wasnt sure why the heck they designed it that way. I was happy though that it didnt trigger GAS but then i just watched the below, not sure if its just me but the photos are AMAZING...what i mean by that is, for me, the photos appear lifelike and give me a perception of depth.

I was originally thinking of getting this lens too but at $2199 AUD it's way out of my budget! For that price I could get the Sigma 35mm Art AND Tamron 28-75mm for that price.

It does look amazing but too high price for me sadly.

Just remember, Goldilocks there doesn’t come with the lens. So don’t let her sway your decision. ;-)a

I fall for that trap every time. That's why I end up with every portrait lens Vinz has lol

from a couple week ago...back in town and computer is working again, so I can edit...my Boss' daughter, just turned 16, got her first car...she is over the moon with it...I have known her since she was 2 days old...makes me feel really dang old...not the first time I have done pictures for her...and won't be the last, she wants me to do more...she loved the session and had a lot of fun. So did I. Got to use the Godox AD200 and the Glow Parapop a lot...really like that thing.

Explain the hair light part to me please.

it's just to provide details on the hair, mostly on top. the black thingy below it is to block the light from hitting the background.
