Thanks Jake, I never knew that link existed.

On FB I typically see that the least amount of clothing or extremely attractive models typically get a large amounts of "likes" even if the IQ or composition isn't ideal.

OK......lets carry on about a camera that is not available yet :)

And using CTRL + F for the page word search, Women over 45 has more likes than woman 30 - 45 years.

I can see that: FB is more for older people (especially now that there's more and more news about breaches). Instagram and then Twitter seem more popular for younger models.

Apparently on POTN, it's birds, not models, that garner the most "likes"... by a significant margin.

https://photography-on-the.net/forum/top_500_likes.php

my like rank has slipped from a high of about 183 down into the 190s. I'm considering buying a big white and posting in the bird forum just to maintain status around here.

Wow I just looked at my like ranking, not sure what happened as I don't post a bunch of shots really, compared to what I post for discussion. It is a meaningless metric. If you don't participate for periods of time I suspect the rankings drop quickly in relation to others.

I would thing a better metric is LIKES / TOTAL REPLIES SINCE AMASS, as a percentage.

I just took a look the first three threads in "New Posts", it really shows the differences in how certain subs get more likes. Granted, this only shows one photo sharing thread, but the ratios between posts and likes could not be more different. I bet if you checked out some of the flash photo sharing threads it would be nothing "like" the bird forum. So yeah, it's pretty meaningless, with or without context.

#s are posts / views / likes

Just post some jokes from time to time, but funny ones. :)

Your like count will go up, I am sure!

Like "I read fifty shades of grey to learn more about white balance." or something to that effect. :D

Goes on to say some may ship today.

... This past August I started posting to those threads again for the first time in a while... (simply because I had some new pics)
I had no idea how popular they had gotten!
