I set up my 5DIV & 70-200 on a tripod and triggered it remotely...a bit hit and miss, the birds didn't much like the shutter sound. I aimed at a small branch just to the side of a feeder which the birds use as a landing stage to get to the feeders. Quite happy with the limited results.

Very nice results. I've tried this but can never predict where the birds are going to perch, so it's always been a bit of a failure. Perhaps I need to ditch my iron feeder hangers and get hold of a dead tree! :-)

I watched for their favourite approach and leaving spots, it is very hit and miss though. There's a very timid Jay that comes into the garden which is my ultimate goal...he's very infrequent though so I could be at this a loooooong time!

We have since added a bird table on the left trunk...dead trees can be quite useful!

Very nice results. One suggestion I'd make is remove the twig/branch in the background as it's spoiling the shots IMO
