Wonderful shot, David. He's got that look of "oh s#@t, you caught me in the act."

The sad truth is most of my fav's are dead now... The general population found and destroyed them. Some had good intentions but a complete lack of knowledge.

Others simply had the funds to buy the gear and look like wildlife photographers...

If I could go back in time I would steal them away from their hiding place to a world far away from the worlds eye.

Momma mallard is the 2nd from the right, and closest to the viewers. She has successfully reared 8 young which will soon be getting their adult plumage. So, not counting momma, how many of the young will be drakes and how many will be hens?

Peggy's Cove Nova Scotia. Taken with my new Tamron 18-400mm I'm not normally a super zoom kind of guy, but I wanted a single walk around lens for our trip to Nova Scotia. It has limitations as one would expect from a super zoom, but less so than most lenses of its type. The images were shot in raw and finished in DXO PhotoLab Elite.

Looks like a very interesting lens...

Down by the shores of Georgian Bay..

I would not call myself a landscape shooter... maybe its time to spend a little time on it.

Ha, very interesting. The same boats, in more or less the same place, from 11 years ago. I noticed that they look a bit older in mwsilver's pic.

Peggy's Cove must be a carefully managed place.

The same two boats from 11 years ago? That's really cool!

They do look a little more worn. I don't know if they are even used. Set up for tourist photos? :-)
