Heres the comparison. XT2 looks to have marginally better ISO from about 3200 upwards.

This is comparing the raw files, which we know were done by DPReview with an unreleased version of ACR (v11). Comparing the JPEG output is probably more informative.

Blended 7 images to smoothen out the water in Photoshop, no good light today though it was a nice walk.

I posted up here a while ago some Fuji sims for C1, there is an article on my blog with them linked. How you liking the Aputure Lights?

Think I might have over shot this one a little

Glad to see it's working for you!

Adobe is doing you a favor. C1 is better.

The sims available for C1 seem to work well and soon enough C1 will have them.

so yes my settings were all over the place today as I fought my shakey hands from the coffee I shouldn't have before/during a photo session

I took this into C1 for the basic adjustments ,, then to PS for some minor skin work and cloning out of some distractions.. then to LR.. I probably could've ended it at PS if I just new how to use C1 a bit better

Anyone use a Saramonic SmartRig+ with one of the Fuji bodies? I picked one up, but found I have to use it in "phone" mode with a TRRS adapter... Just wondering if this is an compatibility issue with my X-T2. (tested feeding it to my Zoom H1n and it would work in both modes)...

Bonus though is the TRRS adapter is a splitter that breaks out into separate mic and headphone jacks, I can plug the headphone jack into the grip and monitor audio using the headphone jack on the SmartRig+

One from this afternoon using the fringer adapter. Allows me to use my Canon ef100-400 MK2 rather than having to buy the fujinon xf100-400.

One thing I notice immediately in PP when using this lens on the Fuji is the high level of OOC sharpness. Even when compared against the 5DSR which supposedly is one of canons better sensors for high detail and increased sharpness due to sensors high pixel density and no AA filter. Infact when I first saw the image in RAW I thought it possibily too sharp although Im sure thats because I just wasnt used to this level of sharpness OOC even with one of Canons "L" lens attached.

And even better using manual focus setting with back button AF on the Fuji lets me see the DOF in a whole new way compared to when I use my 5DSR. This configuration on the fuji IMO gives the best of both worlds in regard to getting good focus. 1. Ability to fast AF to try and get get the focus quickly and then 2.ability to manual focus if need be to fine tune at same time as seeing exactly(via focus peaking) where your DOF is when using a telephoto. Especially so when at 400mm/650mm(cropped sensor FL) as even 5.6 is narrow and hard to judge. With Focus peaking activated you see exactly where you fall in the Focal Planes DOF which is an absolute godsend for bird photography using apertures of f5.6 or less . And when the manual focus ring is moved you csan physicaly see the Blue or Red wireframe of the DOF moving in unison with the new focus making it very very easy to place it in the right place each time .

Cheers

Dropped in for a coffee this afternoon & met up with a friend who kindly agreed to let me take his photo as I wanted to test out flash with the X-T3. Felt a bit odd sliding off the hot shoe cover for the first time.
SOOC using Eterna/Cinema, kind of wish I'd moved to f/4 in this one.

In Capture One then finished in Photoshop, no sharpening. All these where shot using one flash [TT685] handheld without a modifier camera left.
