Yesterday a couple of Bluebirds showed up eating the berries on the Pokeweed in our yard. This is my favorite song bird in the Northeast. This the first time photographing them this year. There was some light drizzle at the time.

Beautiful colours and pose.
Really lovely photo

Magnificent closeup shot. You did well there.

Interesting catches. Larger bird has a minute morsel compared with smaller bird's catch.

Unknown LBJ in Andalucia. The heavy shadowing doesn't help, but any suggestions as to ID will be much appreciated, please. Could it be a Bonelli's Warbler?
Many thanks.

Sorry, I somehow missed this post earlier. What a lovely pic and, yes, I'm sure it's a Western Bonelli's Warbler. Nice lime-green fringes to primaries, secondaries and outer tail feathers; dark-centred greyish tertials with broad, paler fringes; milky white underparts (so far as I can see) and rather wan brownish-grey mantle. There's a slight supercilium, but that doesn't matter. It ticks other boxes too. Def not Great Reed, which would be much browner and wouldn't show the greeny bits

Picture editing is OK. CC always welcome.

Jabiru Late Afternoon - Kakadu Northern Territory

That's beautiful. Very striking birds.
Lovely composure.

Storey time was never without the one about the Jabiru. One of kids favourites.
