Looks like they are shipping to customers. Excited to see what this camera can do!

Oct 11, 2018 22:31 | #5 Hey, I have the R but waiting on my adapter to test lenses... It's a fun camera so far, very well built and so many customizable buttons! I'm still trying to find the best layout for how I shoot, I've always used manual mode but might try the priority modes. If you're considering getting one and have questions ask away! I like to shoot things...sometimes with a camera!

Oct 12, 2018 22:16 | #12 One from my post to the anticipation thread, and a couple of new ones. These are straight out of camera, resized to 1280px for the forum post, but no other post processing. RF 24-105 @105mm F4 1/13 sec ISO 12800 EF 85mm 1.8 F2 1/100 sec ISO 8000 - I believe this may have been face tracking, but I won't be able to confirm until Sunday when I'm home. I was able to face track the cat, although not 100%. Face tracking with the EF 85mm 1.8, 50mm 1.8, and 70-200 2.8 IS does appear to work well. RF 24-105 @24mm F4 1/60 sec ISO 320

This probably means it is pretty close to the 6D or 6D2 in actual performance That likely also lends creed to the statement that the EOS-R isn't using the 5D4 sensor.
