Inspired by Sanil's horizontal formats, these are two images from my very first outing with my 400DOii.

Aransas NWR, Christmas Day, 2015, from the deck of the "Skimmer". A day I will never forget:

Texas is on our list. Tell me more about being aboard The Skimmer. Guided tour boat?

MM,

I have recommended "The Skimmer" to others on POTN. Captain Tommy is a fantastic birding guide with the best eyesight I have encountered in Texas. My wife and I have taken this cruise in four different years, each one a bit different. The light is best in the morning, imho.

On our Christmas Aransas NWR cruise, we saw seven Whooping Crane families, each with two parent birds and one juvenile! Plus many additional species, including an Aplomado Falcon, that passed right overhead (too fast for my limited panning skills).

I am attaching two additional images from that trip, a family group and a juvenile eating Texas Wolfberries, great memories.

you post many fine images Sanil,I adore looking at but this above is just fabulous. I think it's the colour pallette that attracts me so much the bird and BKG in perfect harmony.
