Milkyway nightscapes

Kohekoke Church on the Awhitu Peninsula. About and hour and half drive south west of Auckland's CBD. Bit of a drive all around to the southern side of the Manukau Harbour, but worth the trip for this well photographed church.
We had a bit of cloud last night, but the trip was still great fun and worth the effort

My first time trying this with gear thats a little less then ideal....be nice

Not the best image, I'm still learning.. But, here is the Milky Way and some Northern Lights. Taken in Northern Minnesota.

Thanks. No pics of the truck on here but I post on ih8mud every so often in the LC100 section.

01RYAN10 what kind of lens did you use at the settings that you had for Milky Cracks

Probably my last milky way of the year. Very cold and windy last night and lots of movement on the tripod. Most of my shots were useless, but managed to snag this one right at the end of the night.
Used the little Zeiss 35mm for this one. Caught a little bioluminence in the waves too
