Fantastic. It looks like you captured a sun pillar as well. From the University of Illinois "A sun pillar is a vertical shaft of light extending upward or downward from the sun. Typically seen during sunrise or sunset, sun pillars form when sunlight reflects off the surfaces of falling ice crystals associated with thin, high-level clouds."

Those clouds look solid enough to walk on too.

Thanks Gene. Yeah the sun pillar was pretty cool. I’ve only photographed that phenomena a few times

I've only captured one back in 2016.

Hmm, I just looked through old files and can’t find any light pillars. I’ve definitely witnessed it 2-3 times but now wondering if I’ve not actually captured it until last night

i need to bring my 16-35 as there's a lot of good modern architectures in Singapore. i may not bring my 50. not even sure of my 35mm F1.4

oh man, what a trip. I think Singapore is hot and humid, so I'de definitely try to keep weight down.

I've got a bit of gear lust, and would like the CV 21 as my travel wide angle lens, paired with 35 and 50/85, and maybe OM 200 f5. That would be my entire travel lens setup, should be able to fit in the 5L with flash too.

For the tripod, I've got this unique Benro, the ProAngel 0, that I'm still feeling out after weeks of use. It's only 11" long, but opens up to near full size. Makes my RRS travel tripod look like a monster, but it has its limitation. Under 1KG in total weight I feel is the most it should handle, and the leg lock system isn't very tight, you need a bit of force to keep it tight.

On the flip side, it's extremely light (even lighter than a few other travel tripods its size), and setup is extremely fast due to the unique leg locks.

it's one of those tripods that if you strap to the bottom of the 10L for instance, you won't feel so bad with it. It can go in the main compartment of my thinktank bag being so short. My main love for the setup is the extremely fast setup, way faster than normal leg locks of any kind.

10 star Ed!

Thanks Robert! It seemed to be leaping coyote day at Pt. Reyes last Saturday. I got shots of three different Wile-E’s doing their best to nab a varmint. The A-9’s framrate comes in handy for these shots.

One from this past weekend in the Monongahela. A long cold wet rainy hike and several hundred stairs. I'd
guess helicoptered in. Legs still sore :)

cool. my 5L is black too so it's time have a different one. also the black is bad with white smudges.

white smudges? hmm.. just how much do you love your gear? :D

jkjk

im so bias... even though I think the charcoal looks great as well as the ash, id still get the black. I'm currently using the original thinktank urban disguise 40 that I love alot. my old bag isnt good for my new heavier gears.

old bag posted in Gene's sony camera bag thread.
https://photography-on-the.net …showthread.php?p=17958550

I'll be taking a shot of the current carry sometimes to share but always fail to do so. I'll do it this time!! not trying to steer you away from pd of course, I just want to show off my bag :P
