Even though I have never received your permission I also had a go at that image.
Trouble is that working with a jpeg is never the same as when you have a RAW format where the skin texture information is available and can be restored separately from the colors. Hence the name of the technique which should have beem used: frequency separation.
I paint photo realistic portraits in oil and I believe that have a pretty good understanding of light and shadows as well as the temperature of colors.
Anyway, here is my version, probably not true but I didn't have enough information about the shape of her nose and could only imagine what it looks like I might be completely wrong.
I didn't do a very thorough job on her face, either and her skin color looks dirty in places and her cheek is a little flat after painting it over but my main objective was to somewhat restore the shape of her nose as per my vision.
I honestly don’t care what you do, you could have messaged me. I would never touch someone’s photo unless they asked for help. I poster a photo of a beautiful model I’ve worked with and I modified the highlight on her nose. That was to stop with me, the photographer, not someone who photographs food and thinks they should change a photo because they didn’t like it. Shame on you!
