Snake skin
Guess many have seen them in the flesh, not after they shed a skin
Seen a couple of these at our place. Fascinating. Love to see it happening.

On a visit one morning there were staff working in this walled area and they were helping an Egyptian cobra shed its skin. The snake was not held down but it did have a catcher's stick resting across its body near the head. We were told that the snake thought that it was captive and this enabled the staff to use both hands !! Roy G.

I agree. He was very comfortable with it and I expect knew range, but it was much too close for comfort for me. But I'm not a snake handler.

Roy A. Rust Rest peacefully in the Celestial infinity More info | Oct 18, 2018 18:45 | #10 I found three new-born diamondback rattlesnakes in my yard a while ago. I released two of them in a wetlands area, and kept this one to take some pictures. It's in a small terrarium, so it couldn't strike me - although it didn't know that, and tried repeatedly. After getting a lot of photos, it joined it's siblings in the wetland area. It looks like a pretty big one, until I put my finger up to the glass.
