Thanks Gene.

how are you finding it Alfredo.? I’ve not purchased mine yet

Eddie, I’ve only flown it once to get past my fears of flying a drone. I found it easy to fly and it was quite fun actually. There is lots to remember and take into account when flying but I’m sure things will become second nature with more practice. I found the image quality to be quite good. The drone itself is well built but there are a few things that firmware updates will fix. Things like precision landing.

flying drones is fun as heck, my son has an inexpensive smaller one that we play with when we can, and it's a total blast. It's not strong enough to avoid strong winds, and that's something that worries me about expensive drones. DJI updates can also be horrific, you have to update the batteries, the remote, and drone all the time. Customer support is unconventional, and hard to get help.

aside from that, I can see why some folks are totally hooked on drones, a fellow shooter told me it was a total game changer for him, and I'm starting to agree. Despite all the headaches you will run into, it's just so awesome getting an aerial view

Great shot. I know the feeling. I'm always hoping to get some time. This weekend my wife is officiating a wedding. I'm deciding between going light with my EOS M3 with the 22mm, 5D4 or A7R3 with either the 50/1.2 or 24-70 f/2.8... Good decisions to have to make. :D

Edit: Could also go R3 with the 35 ZA or Canon 35/2 IS... *sigh*

Thanks! Last weekend was a complete wash out! I had the kids to, so was really hoping to get out somewhere!

R3 & 35ZA ;)

the lens is actually sharp. the only downside of the lens is the AF speed in lowlight. other than that i like it.

So this lens is actually the "E" 50/1.8 OSS for APS-c not the "FE" 50/1.8 you have. My lens cost less than $200. It's very sharp and very fast. I've really been impressed with it for the low price. I'll prolly think about replacing it with the Sigma 56/1.4 when it becomes available....iIF the Sigma is a good performer.

Great image. I love the use of ambient light. I did some similar stuff a few weeks ago. As luck would have it, the best 2 I got were when I was trying out my new 24-70 on my 5D4...

thanks...I was mostly struck by her trying to figure out the jukebox, and then when I got lined up the light was just as interesting...she has posted it to her IG account and already gotten more likes on it than any image I ever post to my account... I am just too old for IG I guess...

Yeah, we've been seeing each others for a long time. Though I don't share much with my kids in them lately. Mine are 4, 5, 8 and 9 now... Crazy how fast it happens...

Here are the 9, 8 and 4 year olds playing with a toy helicopter at my parents place a few weeks back. This was when I had rented the Canon 70-200 2.8 IS II. Nice lens, but my forearms hurt after a couple days with that thing... Glad I rented it instead of buying it. lol

SSD has 2 flavors : SATA (slower, low heat, less expensive, use for storage) , NVMe (faster, more heat, expensive, use for OS and applications)

You may consider this Micron SSD: Similar to WD, way cheaper.

ive only used samsung and have never had a problem and it performs well.

samsung pro
samsung evo 850/860

to be honest and for my personal computer I would save the money and get the evo for more storage vs speed. the speed isnt that much faster and I dont need the fastest computer. in 4-6 months it'll be old news.

I currently use the ssd for the os and apps but Ive been thinking about getting another 500gig to use for working pictures.
