Very nice. Angle, background, colors, it all just works well together.

Leapin hop-toads! I have a lot of catching up to do tomorrow on this thread:oops:
In the meantime, here is a Sun Bittern I spotted in the NC Zoo free-flight aviary.

(Still waiting for the 100-400 ii to come back from Canon, but have just bought a Panasonic G9 and will sell the Canon to get a native Panaleica 100-400)

Beautiful colours in both.

Songbirds at Bombay Hook NWR.
Lincoln's Sparrow.
Yellow-rumped Warbler.

Lovely little birds, playing their own elusiveness no doubt.
The Warbler is a very nice small bird.

Flame-colored Tanager

Love the natural lookingness of this scene.
Bit of patience rewarded I imagine.

Very happy to get several shots of these little birds last month. Black-throated sparrow.

Very pretty Sparrow. Different to many.

Ellekrage - (Coracias garrulus) - European Roller

Very different but beautifully marked and coloured bird.
Love the setting.

These are all beautifully photographed selection of small birds. Some quite quirky.

I am totally amazed at how many wonderful shots are continuously posted on this thread, and the few other threads that I currently subscribe too here on POTN. It's overwhelming trying to keep up with all the outstanding images that continuously get posted up here. I've been away for 3 days, and in that time period, I had around 350 notifications to view and try to comment on when I returned late in the afternoon, and turned on my computer. From now until the end of January, I'll be away from my computer four days a week, and as much as I love to comment on many of the fine shots on the various threads, I'm going to have to settle on using the "like" button almost exclusively. I bring this up because I've enjoyed making comments on the many images that really appeal to me, but I simply won't be able to continue doing that...there simply isn't the time. It bothers me considerably, but that's what I'm going to have to do.
