Found this dead specimen this summer.
Finally (seriously crap weather outside) got around to creating his memorium.
Using the Laowa 25mm Macro 3:1

Great shot! I'm not sure if you've had it long enough, but how do you find this lens for living spiders and bugs? Any thoughts? I'm thinking it might be a good accompaniment to my 100L...

Cheers,
Stephen

Stephen the big advantage is of course weight. The conical design --when using twin flashes-- does allow
more light to get to the target. The lens is certainly sharp enough to me.

Compared to the MP-65 this Laowa is just way more fun to use but honestly for the living I use the FE 100mm Macro.

I don't what system you are in but there lies the possibility using the extreme fast frame rate of the a9 to simply push the
lens just beyond the in focus area, push the shutter and pull back ....going through the area of focus and and out of focus.
In that short time period, say it took 1 second, you'd have 20 images to stack.

The only down side of the Laowa, assuming you like the 2.5-5 magnification range is the lack of EXIF.
