You can have focus peaking active to check accuracy while in single AF mode (including eye AF) & also have full manual override (with FP active) but I'll get to that in a bit.
Works on all the X cameras.

First you need to set up your preferred focus assist choice, for here it's Focus Peaking. Then set AF+MF to 'On' in the second page of the AF/MF menu on the X-T3.
Once you do that you are set and all is a go!

Just use the shutter button as normal to focus and while holding the half press twist your focus ring. Et voila you now can see the focus assist (peaking / wire frame) appear...

And as a bonus tip you can also push the AF-L button to have the camera focus in manual mode if you prefer, simply stop pushing (or push again depending on you setting for that button) to go back to AF.

Happy shooting times in the non complicated world.

Mine do that too, it's a flat file database where Fuji store 'things' about the photos so don't worry about it, it's supposed to be there.

I finally set my GFX to have AF+MF ON. Focus peaking to high blue but in my little bit of testing, it was hard to see the peaking affect. I will try it more. I also set one of the buttons for AF-ON to get back button focus like my Canon but I had to disable focus from shutter. Haven't tried AF-L.

When I pressed the focus ring on the lens, I get zoomed view. I also get a another little window in the EVF on right side but it didn't show anything. I thought it will show magnified view of what is in the EVF. Need to play some more.

My method works best if you set Focus Check to 'OFF' I prefer AF-L as I use it to override the shutter so i can keep manual focus as needed while I'm in S AF mode.

The dual EVF is for manual mode only. You can choose to have the big one as focus check or full view in the set up menu, using the method above gives you manual override and the focus peaking to go with it. Just my preferred method for most shoots but I'll zoom in X10 at times also.

Shot some bikes today for a friend who is a gifted craftsman and incredibly talented bike builder. X-H1 + overhead soft box and godox speed lights. These images were from the in-camera JPEGs, shot with the Eterna film sim and then boosted and retouched in PS. Trying out a few different looks.

Sold my X-T1, to a friend who will put it to good use so only the little X-E2 left of the old sensors but I'm keeping that.
Two more from the coffee shop today, available light and seating as it was quite busy, check out the (F/2.8) sun star!
