I like the car but I'm not shure I like the framing between the tree and the lightpole.

I love the pic of the Mercedes - really nicely done. If possible though, I would airbrush the water off the road. It's distracting, messy and makes it look as though the car has sprung a leak!

Man.....haven't heard 'airbrush' for a while.

don't think that's water. looks more like that asphalt/tar they put over the cracks like a cheap bandaid to delay repaving.

Yes, you're right. Spoils the shot, IMO.

I agree, not the best location, but the Merc does look pretty good!

That 'stain' on the road is exactly the sort of thing that's almost impossible to spot through the viewfinder, much like a fencepost sticking out of a person's head. Of course, you see the darn things immediately, when you get home.

The responses in this thread are always funny to me. 99% of the pictures posted are snapshots that could have come from a Palm Pre, but a strip of tar on the road 'ruins the photo' of someone who took the time to care about the photo they were taking.

But I digress. Honestly I didn't even noticed the tar spot! Thanks for pointing it out, i think while brushing in one of the CPL layers it must have become more pronounced. I try and not clone out too much because it leaves a blurry spot usually, and it's hard to make it look perfectly natural.

Sometimes the clone tool is easier to work with if you make a selection first where there is a sharp border between colors. There I've found that it's easier to select an area & clone within it to keep the colors from mixing.

I don't care about the tar spot on the road...for me the warmth difference between the car and the background is the detrimental element of the image, it looks cutout and stuck into that scene. Part of the character of that light is how it works on the car and it is a bit lost in this image. It is pretty noticeable in the rest of the set too IMO.

Indeed, the separation from the background is the main thing I have heard about this set, and something I will try and improve on in the future.

I havent posted here since a while. I neither did shoot anything for more than one year.

A friend just purchased this Ford focus RS MK3 Last Edition.

It last Friday was the right time to shoot again and capture these nice October skies and Fall colors.

I was making sales calls on a Friday. The car was clean and I had time to pull over at this seminary and snap a shot. They are jerks here and will demand you have a permit even if you're not using the photo for profit. I managed to pull into the shade with a little dappled light, jump out, snap the shot and jump back in without a soul to notice. Pretty happy with the result for no shot at recomposing. Only slightly cropped for straightness.
