That's an awesome memory captured. I can empathize with you having to make that decision.

Thanks... It was my wife's great idea. Her reason was because I am always behind the camera... While I have my memories, which I may or may not lose, I will have this photo...

Alex posing for a minute. Well, he was trying to give me that 'distinguished' look. :-)

Thanks Dan. I think he was just having a moment. Usually his tongue is hanging out and slobber coating his lips!

Already posted this one in the 500mm PF thread but it obviously fits here. This was literally the first shot made with a new Nikon 500mm PF lens that arrived yesterday.

Grace turns 7 tomorrow. She's had grey lips/chin since she was a pup. But there's no denying the grey spots that have recently shown up on her eyebrows. It would be nice if she'd act a little more mature. Then again maybe it wouldn't :-)

Yeah I've had GSPs all my life. Energy level is one thing that I actually like about the breed. But this goofy dog still acts like a puppy. Maybe because she's the first solo dog I've ever lived with. So her only playmates are people. Also the most vocal dog I've ever been around. She talks all the time with various sounds. She's quite a goof ball.
