It surprises me, too, as it's not a bird I would associate with captivity. We are still waiting to find these ourselves (the weather has been against us, or it's been nice over a weekend when it would be busier). Is the aviary at Marwell, please Lester? I seem to remember you mentioning before that there was a walk-through temperate house. I think we'd have to leave off the extender on the 300mm, perhaps...?

Excellent, Vassilis. When we were there, it was breeding season, so the boat was not allowed near to the islands - I assume from the rocks in your first shot that that was were you took them.

Wow hard to say; normally like warm reflected tones like #2 but the green in #1 gives better colour contrast with the birds wing feathers.
