Super photo, you jammy.....so-and-so! Wish I had that sort of luck now and again, but bless her little heart.

Thanks Kate, I was sat out in the cold under camo netting for almost 6 hours waiting for her, so I gotta say a little of that jam was of my own making, but ultimately I agree, sitting with that only 10 or 12 metres away is special.

They are both very nice shots. I prefer the green water, because it isolates the bird slightly better, but the front of the bird does look slightly under-exposed. Maybe lifting the shadows might help? There is more detail of the bird in the second pic, but the bird stands out less because the browny-orange water is similar to the bird's chestnut flanks. Just a personal take from an amateur snapper!

One from today....Pt Wilson Black Shouldered Kite

Very lucky to get some blue sky out of the cloud today otherwise it would have been so so capture as there is nothing worse than white/grey sky to spoil a bird image . I waited a hour for this guy to look at me and he did for a couple of seconds at same time as the clouds parted for a bit of blue sky...Very lucky on this one as the rest of the day was grey sky throughout.

Nice shot, Jack. I like both the sharpness and the composition of this photo.

Ah, yes, it's not exactly toasty in Wales at this time of year, so top marks to you and Percy Verence. ;-)a
