I was making sales calls on a Friday. The car was clean and I had time to pull over at this seminary and snap a shot. They are jerks here and will demand you have a permit even if you're not using the photo for profit. I managed to pull into the shade with a little dappled light, jump out, snap the shot and jump back in without a soul to notice. Pretty happy with the result for no shot at recomposing. Only slightly cropped for straightness.

~115mm 1/500s iso160
Handheld, natural light.

Constant dilema I have when editing. Do you like more or less contrast? Keep in mind the loss of details in the wheels due to overwhelming shadows...

I'm more of a high contrast person most of the time, but with this image, given the subject, the foreground and the background colors, I'd go for less contrast. I might even go one step beyond and desaturate the image another 50%, for an old-time faded photo effect.

They look amazing examples of the Chev.
A local milkbar owner here had one in the 1950's and he biffed me around the ears when I was stroking the wings along its rear.
Didn't turn me off admiration for them.

I think its really a matter of opinion and what your end goal is? Are you looking for a more creative effect or a clear sharp pic, i like the top, it looks crisp.
