www.archive.org (external link) has archived a buttload of data over the years and showed a ton of foresight in getting it up and going in the early days of the internet.

Don't you mean boat-load?

I don't think I want a buttload of anything. ;-)a

In everyday use, I hear the terms "crapload", "assload", "buttload", and "sh__load" used much more frequently than I hear the term "boatload" being used.

Years ago the term "boatload" was in more frequent usage, but the trend is to switch over to more offensive, "stronger" language, which supposedly makes a more emphatic point.

My grandparents and my parents said "boatload". . My siblings and my friends and my friends' kids use the more offensive, anatomy-based terminology instead.

I use "boatload" when I am talking to older, conservatively minded people, and I use the other terms when I am talking to my contemporaries and those younger than me ..... except if the younger people are very polite and conservative, then I will use "boatload" when speaking with them. . On those occasions when I am very angry about something, or have extremely strong negative feelings about something, I will use the anatomy-based terms, regardless of who I am talking with.

.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

LOL. A few years back I was at a high end butcher who was attempting to get a lady to buy "beef cheeks." She had replied she had an issue with that and the butcher inquired if she ever cooked "rump roast". As I recall, she went ahead and tried the beef cheeks.

So it has been a while. Wanted to find a link for someone asking about MFA. I wondered if Canon had re-established their links. They have not. They should get rid of this as well.

https://www.canonwatch.com …icroadjustment-guidebook/ (external link)

Because it links to this just like all the others.

https://www.usa.canon.com …/us/home/learn/education/ (external link)

Guess I'll have to take the time to find old stuff at that site posted in this thread.

Maybe it's also been in steep decline after "Boaty McBoatface".

go here ^^^ and copy the link:

http://www.learn.usa.canon.com …oadjustment-landing.shtml (external link)

then go to:

https://archive.org/web/ (external link)

and paste it into the "Browse History" search box

In the resulting page I clicked on the last archive date (blue dot on calendar) which was April 6th of this year. You then click again in the pop up thingy beside April 6

the result will be the version of the page that was archived on that day. It has the link to the PDF

you will not be able to use the search function on the wayback version of the canon website or likely any other website, you just need to follow the links provided in the wayback version.

It is a small team, from what we have been told from a Canon insider, that was tasked to move their CMS to the new platform, and eventually all the previous items will be accessible/searchable. No timeline was given however.

Good news. Hard to imagine all that stuff just going bye-bye.
